ADULT FARM CAMP DETAILS
Adult Farm Camp is a series of experiential education events that pair gardening and sustainable living topics with enrichment activities, to nourish our mind, body and community. Different topics will be offered on a series of Tuesday nights throughout the growing season. You can sign up for one or many sessions. Our goal is for you to be able to take away the knowledge to put these skills into practice in your own yard or home.
Cost is per person. If you purchase more than one ticket for a given event, we will reach out over email to ask for the names of each participant. Otherwise we will use the name and email of the purchaser as the attendee name, and use that email for any communication leading up to the event.
Come dressed for the weather and ready to actively participate in the scheduled activities! Classes are kept small to encourage hands-on learning and community building. Sessions will start with an introduction to the farm. The group will split into 2 and move through the two activities, with a short break in the middle to milk a goat, explore the orchard, or peek in the hoop house.
Sessions are offered at both Valentine Gardens (in East Green Bay), and Full Circle Community Farm (20 minutes West of Green Bay), so pay attention to the location for each offering when you sign up!
Valentine Gardens is a 5 acre urban Farmstead, just 2 miles north of UWGB. It is located at 3026 Nicolet Dr., but the driveway is on Church Rd. Pull into the driveway and parking will be located on the grass along the driveway. Someone will be available to direct you when you arrive. Valentine Gardens employs small-scale organic growing methods, raising a wide variety of produce, native wildflower gardens, a diverse orchard, bee hives, laying hens as well as milk and meat goats.
Full Circle Community Farm is a certified organic farm, located at W2407 Hofa Park Road, Seymour, WI, 54165, between Seymour and Pulaski. Pull into the driveway and then turn to the left to park on the grass area along the driveway, across from the barn. Full Circle Community Farm is a model of regenerative farming, offering acres of produce, high tunnels, laying hens, pastured hogs, and grass-fed cattle.
